Most people still join the chamber for one simple reason: to get more customers or clients. Getting more sales isn’t done through expensive advertising anymore. That’s simply not enough these days. People want to get to know, like, and trust the people they’re buying from. They are looking for networking event ideas from a participant’s point of view.

While that can be done through social media, in-person networking is still incredibly important when it comes to building relationships. The Marion Chamber of Commerce offers monthly opportunities for business professionals to network at a variety of times to work within busy schedules.

Monthly Membership Luncheons

Our monthly Membership Luncheons take place on the second Tuesday of the month. They are a great way to meet new people and reconnect with friends and colleagues.  

Programming is focused on current concerns or topics facing our businesses and community partners.  Lunch provided by one of our member restaurants and Chamber updates are presented. These luncheons are $15 for members and $20 for non-members.

Ribbon Cuttings

We love to celebrate new businesses, anniversaries, and advancements with our chamber members.  Our ribbon cuttings are complimentary to members in good standing and take place during the week to enable  our members to attend and network with fellow business and community leaders.  Our elected officials are always glad to take part.  To schedule a ribbon cutting, please contact the chamber office.

Business Before / After Hours

We enjoy our workday events, but our Business Before/After Hours events allow members to network in a less formal environment.  Hosted by a member business, this event features tours, refreshments, and networking. 

Many times, these events are paired with a ribbon cutting to celebrate!
